About Melody Rose

As a K-12 teacher in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, Melody Rose saw the power of creativity and the importance of expressing oneself. She already enjoyed the making process, but fell even more for it as she taught. Melody was a part of Disquiet International Literary Program ‘22 and The NYC Poetry Festival '23.

This Fall, Melody will be teaching English to first year college students at St. Joseph’s in Brooklyn, NY.

Melody’s passion is teaching and empowering others by sharing what she has learned so far. She started an arts and crafts program at a children’s hospital, an English as a Second Language class at a shelter for victims of human trafficking, and has also taught code at San Quentin State. Melody hopes to inspire others to explore and expand their creativity through art, writing, web design and development, and whatever other medium they find fulfilling.

P.S. If you happen to be visiting my art website, and you know a kiddo, I am offering free science classes on everything from dinosaurs to planets to albatrosses. I started offering these classes in mid-March 2020 and plan to continue (it is now November 2023). Many of our classes have a nature journaling component.
